Action Taken

1. Redesigning the Solution:

The client requested a replacement for the existing "North American Executive Committee" carousel, which they had roughly sketched out. However, after meeting with the Dev team, we determined that the client's suggestion was not optimal. Instead, we presented four different desktop and mobile design mockups that met the client's request while also providing alternative solutions to the design challenge. For instance, Option 4 features a two-tab system toggling between the leadership team and executive committee, while Option 3 showcases a one-row, three-column carousel separated by the leadership team and executive committee. Our alternative designs aimed to reduce scrolling and create a more engaging interface for the user.

2. Collaboration and Communication:

Throughout the process, Riley and I worked closely with the Dev team to ensure that our designs were feasible and aligned with the client's needs. We provided multiple design options to the client, showcasing how each option would address their request while also providing additional benefits. By collaborating and communicating effectively, we were able to provide the client with a redesigned Executive Bio landing page that not only followed Toyota's new branding but also provided an improved user experience.

Impact

The client approved Option 4, featuring a two-tab system that enabled easy navigation between the leadership team and executive committee sections. This design addressed the client's need to restructure the Executive Bio landing page according to Toyota's new branding and executive corporate structure while improving the user experience. Our collaboration with the Dev team and presentation of multiple design options resulted in a solution that exceeded the client's expectations.
